PS3 Game Titles

An Increase in PS3 Game Titles

When it was first released, Sony’s Playstation 3 was criticized for having a dearth of big titles to purchase. Any game system is only as strong as its library of available titles, and admittedly, the PS3 was sorely lacking in this department. In the years since its release though, the PS3 has gotten many fantastic and popular titles, from the Grand Theft Auto’s latest to Metal Gear Solid 4. All in all, the PS3 has picked up dozens of AAA titles, and combined with the PS3′s unparalleled graphical and general computing prowess, all of the PS3 games make for a gaming heaven.

The Future from Blu-ray

Although digital distribution is making some strides, people still prefer physical media. Blu-ray is the most advanced physical media available to the market, and by allowing PS3 games to fit several times the amount of data, they are able to achieve higher resolution textures, higher bit-rate audio, and other benefits that the competition can’t match. As the architecture of the Playstation 3 is better learned and and appreciated, game developers can pour even more high definition content into the games at no cost to performance, giving PS3 games even more of an edge.

Unfortunately, this same great technology that gives the PS3 a technical advantage forces it to also have a cost disadvantage. Blu-ray technology is more expensive to produce currently than DVDs, and it will be a year or two yet before the pricing is the same. However, all next gen titles typically retail for $60 USD, regardless of console, when they first come out. Because of royalties and the like, console games also typically cost about $10 more than new PC games, but buying a computer that is capable of Playstation 3 level graphics will cost you several hundred more dollars than the cost of a new PS3, making PS3 games cheaper in the end.

PS3 games provide hours and hours of entertainment, and multiplayer functionality adds hours more of replay value as gamers compete all around the world. Traditionally single player franchises like Grand Theft Auto and Metal Gear Solid are all making forays into the online gaming world, and while totally online games like World of WarCraft and Left 4 Dead have not yet made the transition to the PS3, it’s safe to expect to see some online-only games coming to the PS3 in the coming years. Most of the biggest new titles are available on both the Xbox 360 and PS3, such as Final Fantasy XIII, but the PS3 has some exclusives to give it extra allure.

List of All PS3 Games

Organizing Your Purchases with a List of All PS3 Games

When the Playstation 3 first launched, it didn’t have too many titles to choose from. In the years since its launch however, it’s gotten a game library almost too extensive to count. The list of all PS3 games is continually expanding as it will for years to come until the next generation Playstation is released (and then the PS3 will likely continue to have new games released for up to a year or so after the PS4 hits shelves, just like what happened with the transition from the PS2 to PS3). If you have just bought your PS3, are thinking about buying one, or have owned for a few years now, a list of all PS3 games can help organize what games you’re interested in purchasing, allowing you to see the whole scope of the games that you want to purchase.

From Unknown to Greatest Hits

A list of all PS3 games, current and yet to be released, is incredibly helpful in allowing you to see what’s available for purchase and what you can look forward to in the months and years to come. When the PS3 first came out, you could only choose from a few dozen titles, but now there are literally hundreds to choose from, and that number is constantly growing. Needless to say, it can be very difficult to keep track of all of them, especially if you don’t immerse yourself in gaming news every single day of the week. Having a list handy is also useful for planning your gaming schedule so you can roughly map out which games you want to buy in whatever order.

Without a doubt, any list of all PS3 games is going to be extensive. Hopefully, such a list also has the ability to be organized by genre and release date. Such tools are integral for not only figuring out when games are to be released but also for which games you yourself might be interested in. So often, only the biggest titles like Killzone 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4 get advertising time and resources, and other gems might get lost in the advertising campaigns of better known titles.

If you’re looking to plan out your gaming schedule, or if you simply want to browse for games that you might want to buy, then a list of all PS3 games will be your best bet for picking out some of the greatest hits on the PS3 and trying out games that you might not otherwise check out. However, if you are interested in games like Final Fantasy XIII, then you might want to check out lists of all PSX and PS2 games as well to pick up some classics to add to your gaming library.
